Albin Gordan
The Swedish Streetlifting Champion
"My name is Albin and I’m a streetlifter. At heart I’m just a training nerd and enthusiast that happened to stumble upon streetlifting.
To me streetlifting is such a fun sport since it combines size and strength training so well. It's a great sport if you want to become crazy strong but also build an aesthetic physique."
From Training Floor to Competition Stage
In his early career, Albin didn't like the idea of competing. It wasn't before he got pushed by his friends in November 2024 that he took his training skills to the stage.
Instead of negative feelings and nerves he felt joy and already looked forward to the next event. The vibes and energy of the community totally changed his mind. That's the power of the calisthenics community!
From that day he got determiend that one day he'll reach the top - and from there it only went forward.
Only one year later, 2025, Albin became the Swedish streetlifting champion in the -94kg weight category and got awarded with the Best Male Lifter (RIS-score winner).
Training Insights:
How to Progress in Streetlifting
"My biggest mistake in my training career was thinking that I could get away with not planning and taking care of my diet, sleep and training."
Albin’s top programming advice is to focus on achieving the highest possible stimulus-to-fatigue ratio. This means prioritizing high-quality training while avoiding unnecessary junk volume and excessive fatigue.
He emphasizes that real progress doesn’t come from low-quality training. In streetlifting, success isn’t determined by who trains the hardest, but by who trains the smartest.
Nutrition is essential for both performance and recovery. Albin prioritizes consuming sufficient amount of carbohydrates before training, followed by a solid recovery meal immediately afterward to support muscle repair and replenish energy stores.
When it comes to supplements, Albin uses the Performance Drink to support both his training performance and recovery.

Recovery
For Albin, a solid diet and good sleep are the foundation of his recovery. He also makes sure to set aside time to rest and reset mentally after long days of studying, work, or training.
Stay Injury Free
Albin never takes unnecessary risks with injury. If he senses even a slight risk to a joint, he prefers to miss one session rather than risk being sidelined for months.
Discipline Over Motivation: How I Stay Consistent Year-Round
Albin keeps his motivation high by pursuing training he’s passionate about and setting reasonable goals.
He says, "Set the bar too high and you will feel bad when not achieving them, which can lower your motivation".

Beyond Training: Life Outside Streetlifting
Albin stays active in the calisthenics scene through coaching and organizing events. He is currently one of the event organizers for Streetlifting Nordic and a part of the Swedish Calisthenics Federation. Outside of calisthenics, he enjoys gaming, although he doesn’t always have much time for it.
Upcoming Goals & Competitive Ambitions
Albin’s ambition in streetlifting is to become the -94 kg Streetlifting World Champion, with plans to potentially move up to -101 kg later.
In May, he will take part in his first international competition, the Czech Open, which serves as a qualifier for the European Championship. Qualifying for that championship is his current short-term goal.
What's your best pre-competition tip for someone wanting to perform at his/her highest level?
"Don’t change your routine, no special ritual will magically make you stronger, and it might even do the opposite. Your competition prep and training months before is what dictates your performance."
